Finally

I've finally done a page of Jaiden all for myself... the first one is of him and his daddy which i did on Bonita's b-day night ( i got lots of help from the girls, i really needed it too... dunno why but i feel like i've been in a cave wen it comes to scrappin these days), and the second one is a 2 page spread i attempted on my own... i am very pleased with it except for the journaling box i made, i dunno it seems weird to me how i placed it and the gems, but i dunno wat i could do to improve... so if any of u have any ideas to help or if u think its fine the way it is, please let me know... i would really appreciate it. Anywhoo without any further delay, here they are:

Char's Drink of the week!

Well i know i haven't been the best at posting everyday, *ahemmmmm, but here is a new post at long last! I guess i'll just pick up where i left off... this week's drink of the week is : Thai Iced Tea. As you've heard me blog about in the past, i just adore thai iced tea! It has such a unique taste. Anyone who loves trying new things can appreciate this drink. Anywhoo this weekend i had a hankering for it, but didn't want to pay $3 for a glass (becuz i wanted to drink much more than just a glass), so i rmbrd a Thai restaurant who sold packets of of the mix...so u could diy. Let me just say, if i love a drink enough i would go on all kinds of crazy escapades for it! Getting back to my tale, I went over to the restaurant for the packets and found out that the little theives were selling them for 75cents a packet! I wouldn't have a prob with this if the packet made like a pitcher or sumtin, but this shit made 200ml which is less than a freakin cup!!!!!!!!!!!! So in my outrage, i out-smarted the system and hoped over to my handy dandy oriental grocery store(ogs).... aaaaahhh yes my fwens, never leave home without one! The ogs was selling a bag filled with 12 of those same packets for $3.75, HOT DAMN!!!! I'm not a genius or n e thing, but u dont have to tell me twice wen i stuck a bargain, so i bought the tea and ran out there! Now on the packet it says u can make it hot or cold, but i prefer it cold, and it also says it comes with sugar but it really isn't as sweet as it is served at the restaurants... so i add more sugar. Another thing, i hate to wait on my drink so wat i did is i heated up 200ml of water, added 6 packets of tea and a little extra sugar, and made a super concentrated batch...then i left that in the fridge and wenever i wanted the tea i would just add a little to a glass of cold water, and viola! Instant heaven in a glass! Enjoy all!

Char's Drink of the week!

This week's drink of the week is : Carrot juice. My mom used to make this drink all the time for my brother and i, it was always a sure way to get us to eat carrots! It tastes so good, we used to request it pretty much every week! Its very sweet, and creamy... you almost don't even notice the carrot at all. This is my very first time making it on my own, and it came out exactly how i rmbr. I've given Junior his first taste, and he lovesssss it... I can't wait until Jaiden can try it too. I think I am going to make it a little tradition to make this every easter for Junior and Jaiden... kinda like how ppl always have Eggnog during the holidays. Here is the recipe for all those who would like to try it, although measurement wise it really depends on ur taste... but i will try my best: I used 11 carrots, peeled them, chop them into thirds, and boiled them until soft. Let it cool. Then, i blended the carrots with a little of the same water i boiled them with until it got nice and smooth, and then strained it into the same pot i boiled the carrots. Next, i added the rest of the water boiled with the carrots...u can add as much or as less water as u want depending on how much of a carrot taste u want, 4 cans of condense milk ( i like mines very sweet & creamy, but if u are trying this out... start of with 2 cans, taste it, and if u want it sweeter or creamier add more)and turn the stove on medium heat. Lastly i added about 1tsp of - vanilla essence, almond essence, and ground nutmeg (although if u prefer it more spiced, u can add as much as ur taste buds can handle). Bring the juice to a boil, and then let cool & refrigerate. The great thing about this drink is u can serve it hot or cold! Garnish it with watever u like, but in my picture i used a carrot curl. Enjoy everyone!

Wash ur hair Wednesday!

I wash Jaiden's hair twice a week, on wednesdays and saturdays... dunno why i picked those days, which is the recommended amount by his doctor. Now wenever those days come around it is absolute hell for me, because this little baby wants to sit up and move all over the place and bounce and splash and kick.... omggggggg, hell i say! The thing i find really funny tho, is how wenever there is a camera in sight... all the craziness stops in its tracks, and this boy starts posing for the camera! Lol, I can't help but to laugh everytime this happens. Looks like i gotta model on my hands!
